Achieve Columbia

Since 2013 Achieve Columbia has worked to mitigate the effects of childhood trauma and build resiliency so that kids have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Achieve Columbia begins working with middle school students and their families and sticks with them through high school graduation.

Achieve Columbia works on three primary levels:
  • Sets up basic supports that most students benefit from, including close communication with parents and guardians.
  • Develops an understanding of the root cause of the struggles
  • Develops an individualized plan and set of interventions for each student.

Based on its success in working with students, Richland School District One awarded Achieve Columbia the 2015 Partner of the Year award.

Currently, Achieve Columbia is working with approximately 40 families.
