RCPEP to Host Inaugural Bright Futures Breakfast

  • Columbia, SC – September 17, 2024 – Richland County Public Education Partners (RCPEP) is proud to announce the inaugural Bright Futures Breakfast, set to take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Palmetto Club (Columbia, SC). This inspiring morning event is designed to bring together community leaders, educators, parents, and stakeholders who are passionate about supporting and advancing the educational landscape in Richland County.

    The Bright Futures Breakfast will feature a lively and impactful fireside chat facilitated by Fraendy Clervaud, anchor of WACH Fox. The discussion will center around the theme, Empowering Education in Richland County, and will include insights from various figures in education:

    • Kelsie Carter - Military Liaison and Parent as Leaders Participant, Richland School District 2
    • Alana Grant - Executive Director, Richland County Public Education Partners
    • Patrick Kelly - Director of Governmental Affairs, Palmetto State Teachers Association
    • Catherine Schumacher - President and CEO, Greenville Public Education Partners

    Alana Grant, Executive Director of RCPEP, emphasizes the significance of this event, stating that "initiatives that grow from this fundraising event can expand opportunities to collaborate on solutions and identify ways we can empower more advocates in education."
